• Yes and no. Java MIDlets cannot access a WIM. So, from a MIDlet developer point of view, a WIM cannot be used. However, with Java MIDP 2.0, the terminal WIM software uses the CA certificates on a WIM to validate signed MIDlets (or rather, the signature contained in the JAD).
