An endodontist is a dentist with two or more years of advanced training in diagnosis and root canal treatment. endodontist only perform treatment concerning the soft inner core of the tooth and the roots of the tooth. This type of treatment includes complex and routine root canals, retreatment of root canals, endodontic surgery, diagnosis of tooth pain, and internal bleaching of the teeth. Endodontists are trained to treat teeth that are complicated. In order to do this they often use operating microscopes, ultrasonic instruments, and digital imaging. Endodontists perform the complicated procedures and use these specialized tools every day.
