No. Setup is very simple and should only take a few minutes. Whether you already own an 802.11b Wi-Fi adapter or use one from Joink, the process of installation and connecting to the Internet is identical. First, make sure the wireless access device is attached to your desktop or laptop computer. For laptops, your wireless card slides into the PCMCIA slot on your laptop. For Desktop users, you will connect the access device to your computer through a cable into the Ethernet port on the back of your computer (your computer should already have an Ethernet jack or Network Interface card (NIC) already installed, if not contact Joink Customer Support. In both cases, you may choose to use an external USB wireless adapter – just be sure it has a fairly large antenna.
