What are attest services?
A. Under Wis. Stat. § 442.001 (1) and Wis. Admin. Code §§ Accy 1.003 and 1.205, Attest service means any of the following: An audit or any other engagement that is performed or intended to be performed in accordance with the Statements on Auditing Standards issued as of June 1, 2003 by the Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A review of a financial statement that is performed or intended to be performed in accordance with the Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services issued as of June 1, 2003 by the Accounting and Review Services Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
