How do recipients get authenticated?
When any recipient tries to open a protected file, he or she must enter his Adobe ID (which is the recipient’s email address) and password to proceed. If a recipient doesn’t have an Adobe ID, he or she can easily obtain one at no charge. The recipient’s ID is authenticated by sending an email to the address specified in the ID. The email contains a verification link the users must access.
