What are the topics discussed in class?
• In history 1301, we discuss from colonial origins through reconstruction, including exploration and colonization of the new world, the American Revolution, westward expansion, the Civil War, and reconstruction. Hist 1301 starts with the Native Americans crossing into the “New World” and ends with the reconstruction of Civil War in 1877. • In history 1302, we discuss from big business, big labor, the United States as a world power, the Great Depression, WWI and WWII, Cold War, Vietnam, Civil and woman rights, and modern events within the last 50 years. Hist 1302 starts with the effects of reconstruction of the Civil War to our current history in 2009.
