A mask is an effect frame around your photo, but you should bear in mind that if you apply a mask to a photo, part of that photo will no longer be visible. To apply a mask: 1. Double click on the photo in the workspace to open the ‘Edit image’ window and select the ‘Mask’ tab. Horizontal or vertical 2. First select either horizontal (landscape) or vertical (portrait) masks. The available masks will then be displayed. The masks are automatically adapted to the proportions of the image box. Mask list 3. The available masks are displayed in the mask list. To apply a mask, click on the mask of your choice. 4. If the photo is larger than the selected frame size, you can specify which portion of the photo should appear within the mask: select the mask and move it with the mouse. Click on ‘Cancel’ to undo the most recent application of a mask or click on ‘OK’ to apply the mask and go back to the ‘Edit’ tab. 5.
