How does the consent process work?
Patients will sign a consent form in your office, similar to the HIPAA privacy form. RHIO will answer patient questions directly through its website, toll-free answer line, and public information campaign. Once a patient consents, you can send the form to RHIO for processing, or register the consent directly from your office. All participating physicians will receive a complete kit for managing the process, including consent forms, handouts, and posters that tell patients how to direct their questions to RHIO.
