On January 8, 1998 OSHA released a new Respiratory Protection Standard 29CFR1910.134. That standard replaced the fit testing requirements contained in the various substance-specific OSHA standards that have been released by OSHA over the last 20 years. The PORTACOUNT is specifically listed as an accepted fit test method in Appendix A. Refer to Application Note ITI-056 Respirator Fit Testing Highlights for OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard 29CFR1910.134 for information regarding the fit testing requirements of the new OSHA standard.
