What is nanosatellite?
The term “nanosatellite” or “nanosat” is usually applied to the name of an artificial satellite with a wet mass between 1 and 10 kg (2.2–22 lb). Again designs and proposed designs of these types usually have multiple nanosatellites working together or in formation (sometimes the term “swarm” is applied). Some designs require a larger “mother” satellite for communication with ground controllers or for launching and docking with nanosatellites. In spaceflight, a launch vehicle or carrier rocket is a rocket used to carry a payload from the Earth’s surface into outer space. A launch system includes the launch vehicle, the launch pad and other infrastructure. Usually the payload is an artificial satellite placed into orbit, but some spaceflights are sub-orbital while others enable spacecraft to escape Earth orbit entirely. A launch vehicle which carries its payload on a suborbital trajectory is often called a sounding rocket.Satellites are launched in the space using the launch vehicles.
