ELS has the capability to test individual cows for components, somatic cell count (OSCC) and culture information, which are basic tests. Another test available to ELS customers is the Milk Urea Nitrogen (MUN) test. The results from the MUN analysis will help you in determining how well your cows metabolize the protein that’s available in the feed. A cow can efficiently utilize only so much protein.
