Plantlife International is a registered charity, and depends on donations to fund most of its work. Anyone can become a member and contribute through membership subscriptions, donations, and by remembering Plantlife in their will. Natural England, Scottish Natural Heritage, the Countryside Council for Wales, numerous charitable trusts including the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Garfield Weston Foundation, and the Countdown 2010 Biodiversity Action Fund all contribute significantly to species recovery projects and other conservation work. In addition the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund’s Access to Nature Fund are supporting Plantlife’s volunteer involvement and education projects.
