What is Traditional Surrogacy?
Traditional Surrogacy is when the Surrogate herself is the Egg Donor. She can be inseminated with either the Intended Fathers sperm or Donor sperm. Many Traditional Surrogates are Artificially Inseminated through an IUI (Intrauterine Insemination), but on rare occasion a Traditional Surrogate has had a tubal ligation (tubes tied) and she will need to have her egg retrieved through the IVF process. Again the key to Traditional Surrogacy is the surrogate being biologically connected to the child.
