The interlocks of hot-rolled sheet piling are fairly water tight, but not waterproof. Sheet piling is used as cut-off walls under hydraulic structures such as locks & dams. It is also utilized for cut-off walls at hazardous waste sites. There are products available to seal the interlock and reduce or eliminate seepage through the interlocks.
