How does TOEFL® ITP differ from the other TOEFL® testing programs?
The TOEFL® test is available in two ways: through the “official” international testing program and through the Institutional Testing Program. Under the official program, the test is administered in three formats: computer-based, paper-based and internet-based. Individual applicants register for the test, submit the proper fee, and may request that official copies of their scores be sent to designated institutions and agencies. The TOEFL® ITP is a low-tech and cost-effective method of testing groups of students of any size within classrooms Scores from the ITP are reported only to the testing institution.
