How can parents participate at Odyssey?
There are many opportunities for parents to participate at OCS. There are two positions, (a lower grade (K-3) and an upper grade (4-8)), who are elected by the parents to serve as parent representatives on the OCS Governing Board. This is an opportunity to represent parent’s views on board related matters such as finance, policy and procedures. All parents may participate in the Odyssey Parent Participation Group (OPPG). The OPPG works to support the school in many ways including fund raising, room parents, producing the school newsletter, planning and /or assisting with school events and occasionally initiating new programs at the school. Parents are welcome to help in classrooms and chaperone on field trips. All parents are expected to participate in the Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) process.
