How long are tutoring sessions?
Tutoring sessions are 45 minutes in length. • How much will tutoring cost? Tutoring is free to all Loyola University Chicago students. • Where will the tutoring take place? Tutoring takes place in the Tutoring Center in the Sullivan Center for Student Services, Room 245, on the Lake Shore Campus. Business tutoring and writing tutoring are also offered on the Water Tower Campus in 25 E. Pearson, Room 605. • Will my professor know that I am receiving tutoring? No. We do not reveal the names of our students to professors or instructors without your permission. • What is expected of me at a tutoring session? The best thing you can do to prepare for your tutoring session is to attend class regularly and read your textbooks. Your tutor is prepared to help you review the material and work on problem areas, not teach it. He or she can review concepts, help you talk through ideas, and ask probing questions.
