There are 2 kinds of live bearing snails that I know about. There are Malaysian Trumpet snails and Trapdoor snails. So, if your snail is shaped sort of like a long, pointy, spiral cone, it’s probably a Trumpet snail and if it’s less long and pointy and has a concave little “door” that opens and closes where the snail comes out, then it’s a Trapdoor snail. Both of these snails can give birth to up to 2 dozen other little snails, but they do reproduce sexually, so if you only have one adult, there won’t be any other little babies any time soon! Once born the babies are pretty much independent and will go off on their own, eating microscopic algae, so you can give them away or sell them off as soon as they are big enough for you to be able to reliably see them and pick them up. :p Most aquatic snails have some kind of gill &/or lung hidden away inside their shells to breathe with.
