Can Plastic (PVC/PE/HDPE) Outdoor furniture be polished and restored?

• ANSWER: The soft plastics used on some outdoor furniture, PVC and polyethylene, have a gloss coat that is created from the way that the plastics are molded. This gloss coat is on the outer finish and is not all the way through the plastic. Once these surfaces become scratches and dulled, they can not be polished back to a gloss finish. Our scratch remover product will fix the scratches but the dull area will remain to some extent. Our JANVIL Plastic Shine may be used to help these dull surfaces but reapplication will be required.
