Umm, but what is/was the cause?
and immediately began treating him with Maracyn for the Columnaris and Maracyn-Two since I suspect a possible internal bacterial infection based on lack of appetite and some swelling of his lower body. That was 3 days ago and he is improving rather well. At first he displayed severe irritation, swimming erratically and banging his head off the glass. That has subsided. He is eating well and the cottony patches are slowly disappearing. As for a possible source of poisoning, I don’t think there is anything in the tank that would cause it.
