Slates appear at the beginning of a VNR or B-roll and describe to the media what they are about to see. In the case of a VNR, the slates are formatted from the script. In the case of a B-roll Package, the slates will reflect the information provided in the Satellite Media Alert. In both cases, consistency between slates, alert, and script is absolutely necessary.
