Bit 7 indicates that the content of the NAV_ACC message is valid. It is only valid if the kalman filter is running and the MIDG is in INS mode. For example, the NAV_ACC contents have no meaning if the MIDG is in vertical gyro (VG) mode. Bit 7 is a combination of all of the internal conditions required in order for the NAV_ACC values to be meaningful. It is included in this message so that you don’t have to do the tests on the contents of other messages externally (STATUS:Current Mode, etc) to conclude whether the data is meaningful.
