Placement Auditions are how the NYSMF Faculty and Conductors will learn how best to place and seat you in NYSMF ensembles. They take place the first Sunday afternoon of every session, and only last a few minutes. All students are required to audition for placement in performing organizations, ensembles and chamber music groups – yes, even bagpipe players.
