Do biofuels still pollute and cause global warming?

0

Burning any fuel causes pollution, but biofuels are very much cleaner than fossil fuels. They are largely carbon neutral in that the carbon dioxide produced is less than that absorbed by the plants while they grew, and will anyway be absorbed by next year’s crop. Most scientists now believe that burning fossil fuels is directly causing global warming or, at the very least making it worse than it could be. Carbon neutral energy cannot increase global warming and if all fuel burned was carbon neutral we might actually reduce it.
