What is Spaceship Earth?
The following definition is from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Spaceship Earth is a world view term usually expressing concern over the use of limited resources available on Earth. It may have been derived from a passage in Henry George’s best known work, Progress and Poverty1 (1879). From book IV, chapter 2: “It is a well-provisioned ship, this on which we sail through space. Spaceship Earth is a slow moving ride that shows the importance of communication in our lives. It is also most attended attraction at Walt Disney World and possibly the entire world. Its message of communication being the beginning of understanding is extremely important in showing that we all have the ability and the responsibility to build new bridges of acceptance and cooperations between us. Everyone should visit Spaceship Earth at least once in their lifetime. The pavilion features great music and the piece in the Finale is Bach Sinfonia no. 2.
