What is Microsoft Provisioning System(MPS)?
Microsoft Provisioning System(MPS) is a provisioning system based on BizTalk for service providers. There is overlap in that both MIIS and MPS claim to do provisioning, but the MPS solution approach is much different. MIIS takes a state-based synchronization approach, while MPS takes the workflow approach using BizTalk. MPS is only available to customers with a Service Provider Licensing Agreement. Using workflow for provisioning is of course a top ask of the MIIS product, and is supposed to be in Gemini when it ships.
