Is WorkRoll secure?
If WorkRoll.com hosts your WorkRoll installation, all users will connect to it via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. If you self-host WorkRoll on a web/application server that supports SSL, then likewise, communication between WorkRoll and users will be encrypted and secure. If you self-host and your server does not support SSL, using WorkRoll will still be as secure as unencrypted e-mail (most e-mail is unencrypted). As for data storage, if you self-host, WorkRoll stores all the information entered by users in its own database on your file system. Sensitive data (e.g. passwords) are encrypted before being stored.
