What factors affect adhesion strength?
Adhesion strength is affected by both the adhesive and adherends. The adhesive bond line thickness, fillet size (especially when bonding small areas), voiding in the adhesive, and cure temperature and time all impact adhesion strength. The surface cleanliness and roughness of the adherends, the surface type, and the stress due to CTE mismatch between the two adherends and the adhesive also contribute to adhesion strength.
