Does astrology contradict modern science?
No, but many astrologers have over the past two millenia attempted to reconcile astrology with the literal objectivity of the science of the day. It is now believed that the subjectively meaningful world to which astrology belongs cannot be adequately understood using most of the methods applied by objective meaning-free modern science. Any debate of astrology which fails to take this fact into account would probably be misleading.
