What is the policy on metal detectors?
USE OF METAL DETECTORS ON LANDS OR WATERS CONTROLLED BY THE U. S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS ON B. A. STEINHAGEN/DAM B LAKE IS PROHIBITED WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS. Metal detectors will be allowed on the following designated swim beaches: Ebenezer, Mill Creek, and San Augustine Park. Metal detectors are also allowed on the East End beach area (east end of the Sam Rayburn Dam) which is not a designated beach area, but receives extensive use.
