The UNCG Laptop Grant is awarded to first time freshman who will be enrolled full time, 12 hours or more, for the fall and spring semesters of their freshman year. Grants will be awarded to exceptionally needy students while funding is available. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. The UNCG Laptop grant is a one time $1000 award used to assist students in purchasing a UNCG approved laptop for use in coursework at UNCG. Prior to disbursement of the UNCG Laptop Grant, students must complete all necessary paperwork requested by the Financial Aid Office, including the immunization requirement with Student Health Services. Students must be confirmed in classes using either financial aid or sufficient payment arrangments to cover the full balance due. Students can check to see if their classes are confirmed on UNCGenie.
