What does dual core mean?

It is 2 processors on 1 die. Ideally this means that it’s 3.6ghz, but not exactly, it only applies when the OS or the program takes advantage of the dual core aspect, I believe the 64-bit OS are the only ones that take advantage of the multiple cores.
