14kt Gold Filled metal is brass with 1/20th by weight of 14kt solid gold material layered & chemically bonded to the surface of the brass “core” material. This is a much thicker layer of gold than any plated material, and has a higher gold content than 10 or 12kt Gold – Filled material. It provides the exact same look as solid gold, yet is much sturdier and is more resistant to scratch and dent damage.
