Can I use an outside tanning lotion, oil, or baby oil?

NO! The use of Outdoor Lotions, Oils, and Baby Oil is absolutely PROHIBITED! They will ruin the acrylics (the clear plastic sheets designed to protect the internal parts of the tanning equipment from dirt, fluids, and damage). Contrary to popular belief, indoor tanning lotions’ sole purpose is NOT to generate additional income for tanning salons. Indoor lotions not only provide tremendous benefits for the tanner (see question # 11), they also are chemically designed, specifically, for the indoor tanning environment. Outside lotions, oils, and baby oils are made with various ingredients that prematurely destroy the acrylics. Damages will range from fogging, scratching, pitting, to premature cracking due to abrasives, harsh chemicals, and excessive heat build-up. Cost replacement of the acrylics range from $200.00 to $500.00(+).
