What are “Studs”?

Studs refers to the type of tires we run in the Competition and Pro Street classes on Saturdays. These tires have 17mm or 20mm studs in the tread to add speed and traction. There are different types of tires used, but the majority of tires are Goodyear Terra Tires and the studs are placed in the raised bars. The picture is of Competition Stud tires. You can check the rule book for more specifications for these classes.
