What is hovering and what can it do?
Hovering is accomplished by placing the mouse over any line between connections or over a device. When the cursor is placed over a device or a line without clicking the mouse, a yellow box, or tool tip, will appear. A hover over a device box will open a yellow box with the ability to show any two of the six names defined by the six views, and any additional interfaces the device might have. Hovering over a line connection will first enlarge the width of the line. A yellow box will then appear with the device names (in the current view) followed by a colon (:) and the port number, if the device contains the SNMP port information. This feature is very useful in helping the user determine which cables connect to devices in an equipment enclosure or closet full of switches.
