What is the Oath of Allegiance?
We have two versions of the oath, one is to swear by Almighty God and the other is to Affirm and does not mention God. This is because we have many people from different religions attending the ceremony, and also those who have no religion. Both the “swearing” and “affirmation” have the same legal significance and one is no more important than the other. Both will be said in a group and simply repeated after the Registrar.
