What are Classes and Assignments?
After opening an instructor account with Turnitin, the first step is to create Classes and Assignments. The Assignment (e.g. A Critique of Donal Og) is located within a Class (e.g. Irish Romantic Poetry). Student papers, which are checked for indications of plagiarism, are submitted into Assignments. You may have several Classes, each containing several Assignments. Each Assignment has its own ID, which when given to your students mean they may submit their papers into a specific Assignment’s inbox. Whenever a paper is submitted an Originality Report is generated, and appears in the Assignment’s inbox.
