How do you get rid of a hangover?
A hangover is actually the result of various effects. The loss of electrolytes and vitamins are part of it. Dehydration is another part of it. Sulfates are found in several drinks and thought to contribute to the hangover effect as well. Depending on how much you drank the night before, you could be going through alcohol withdraw, which is another conttibutor to the hangover effect. Also, remember that alcohol in large amounts can damage the lining of your stomach, so that nasea you feel can be partially contributed to that. As for getting rid of a hangover, there is no sure fire way, except for time. HOWEVER, there are things you can do that can shorten the time it takes for hangover symptoms to disappear. 1. Vitamins and Water!!! Lots of water actually. Replace what your body lost. 2. Tomato juice. This helps because its restores some of the electrolytes you lost, especially sodium. Eat a bananna to help put back in some of the lost potasium. 3. Avoid high doses of caffiene and tylen
well if you get real wasted, the best thing to do before you go to bed is have a berocca (its like a dissolvable energy tablet you put in water – we have them in New Zealand i dont know if theyre a worldwide thing) and if you have a berocca before you go to sleep, then you wake up without a hangover, but if you forget to take one, then take one in the morning and have plenty of water and aspirin/panadol/nurofen have fun with the hangover!
