AVS stands for Address Verification System. The credit card billing address of your customer is requested and verified prior to authorization being given for the transaction performed through your Virtual Terminal. It is a way to reduce the risk of fraudulent transactions and/or chargebacks. CVV2 (Card Code) is the 3-4 digits located on the back of credit cards to help reduce fraud for mail order, Internet and telephone transactions.
