If you receive a D+, D, or E in a course within the first 45 credit hours that you earn (EM credit from AP or Department Exams does not count towards the 45 hours; however all K credit earned does count towards the 45 hours), you may re-take that course to replace that grade; although the original grade remains on your transcript, it is not used to calculate your GPA. You must re-take the course within your first 90 hours for it to replace the previous grade, and be considered Freshman Forgiveness. If you re-take the class after your first 90 credit hours then it will NOT replace the grade! You can only use Freshman Forgiveness on up to 15 hours. I was on a waitlist for a course and got added in but wasn’t aware that the course got added to my schedule. I haven’t been attending the course and its past the third Friday of the quarter.
