A. We started hearing from our clients that they needed “something just like Backroads” without the physical exercise component because of any number of reason such as: they had lost fitness, or suffered an injury or maybe they wanted to travel with a companion who just wasn’t as “into it” as much they were. They asked us to refer them to other tour operators who could deliver the small group experience, great food and accommodations, and expert leaders in the destinations we offer. We did not have anyone to refer them to, so we decided to develop the new line of trips. We are uniquely positioned for dialing up the guests’ cultural activity experience because of all the wonderful local connections and expertise we have been developing over the decades.
