Why is Coda implementing copy protection for Finale 98?
A. As a recognized standard in music notation, Finale is among the most frequently copied music programs in the world. Unfortunately, illegal copying has reached levels that can no longer be supported without raising software prices to customers. Rather than opting to raise prices, Coda has chosen to implement forms of copy protection that, according to surveys of our customers and distributors, is the least intrusive method that will significantly reduce illegal copying. Coda is confident that this copy protection mechanism require minimal effort, and that the powerful new features of Finale 98 far outweigh any inconvenience caused. However, if within 30 days from the date of purchase you are dissatisfied, any Finale 98 upgrades purchased from Coda Music may be returned to Coda for a full refund.
