What is an employer matching gift?
Many employers encourage their employees to donate to non-profit organizations by matching the employees’ donations. When an employee donates $10, the employer will also donate $10 to the same organization. The employer’s donation, conditioned upon the employees’ donation is called an employer matching gift.
