Who is required to live on campus?
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln requires all unmarried students who have less than 27 credit hours and who are under 19 years of age after the first day of classes for the fall semester to live in University-approved housing (residence halls, fraternities, sororities, or co-ops) for the entire academic year (Residency Requirement form – pdf). Students may also be given special permission to live with a parent or immediate relative and commute, provided that family member lives within a 30-mile radius of the UNL Campus. A. All students enrolled at the Wilkes Honors College (WHC) are required to live on campus. Students must be enrolled as a full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate. A resident may be required to depart from University Housing if enrolled credit hours drop below full-time status, at the request of the Director of Housing or designee.
