What is the difference between EVS and LTV?
EVS stands for European Voluntary Service and it is a programme of the European Union. This means that the volunteers have no costs for their voluntary service: the EU pays travel, insurance, pocket money and language course. EVS is only open for volunteers between 18 and 25 years from EU countries and from the so-called Programme countries. So the only difference is the funding. All EVS exchanges are also LTV exchanges, but not all LTV exchanges are EVS exchanges. For more information about EVS and LTV please refer to the section Long Term Volunteering.
