What is the cohort model?
• The cohort model is a unique learning model which encourages the development of relationships among members of the program. Students foster close relationships with one another and share experience and expertise in the learning process. Cohorts are generally made up of 12-15 individuals and students attend most of their classes with this group during the course of the program.
A cohort model means that you and your peer (cohort) group will follow the same course of studies over the same schedule. You will have the opportunity to meet and get to know one another during the first summer residency. During the remainder of the online coursework, you will take courses together with these same colleagues over the duration of the program.
