What are bid increments?
When listing your items, you can select to use our built-in increments or you can select your own custom fixed increments. These increments are used to increase the auction price and are built at different levels depending on how much your auction starts at. For example, if an auction starts at $1.00 the bid increment may be $.25 but if you started an auction at $5,000 the bid increment may start at $50.
Any new bid must be greater than the current high bid. The additional amount you’re required to bid depends on the price of the item being auctioned. (In other words, bid increments are determined by the item’s price.)
