Is there an age limit for individuals subject to Dublin income tax?

0

Yes. All individuals under 18 years of age for the entire year are exempt from City of Dublin income tax and are eligible for a refund of municipal tax withheld (if the tax withheld was paid to Dublin). There is no upper age limit. I am retired. My only income is from Social Security, company pension, interest and dividends. Am I required to file a City of Dublin income tax return? No. You are not required to file an income tax return with Dublin, nor does Dublin tax you on these types of income. However, you must file a one-time Declaration of Exemption (Form DX-1) with us so we will not send you income tax returns in future years. However, if you return to work, any earnings (other than retirement income) would be subject to the Dublin income tax and you would be required to file an annual Dublin income tax return.
