What is an elective CPD activity?
An elective CPD activity is any CPD activity approved by the Board, but not categorised as a core CPD activity. Participants choose what elective activities they would like to undertake to make up the balance of six CPD points by choosing topics that have a specific relevance or interest to them or their business from a list of approved elective activities provided by the Board. Each elective CPD activity is assigned to one of four learning categories. Each approved elective CPD activity must: have an educational outcome; be industry specific; and be categorised as being relevant to one of the Board’s approved professional development subject areas.
